Neural Decoder

Spike trains from the motor cortex neurons of monkeys were previously recorded during reaching movements in different directions. Using the recordings of the spike trains and the arm movement, and with the combination of linear regression and k-nearest neighbours classification, our model was able to decode the neural data with a root mean squared error of 19.4 cm.
